With postcard photos of each, and hand written notes from the family. Edward George Geary was born on the 1st May 1894, and was a Post office telephone engineer. His MIC confirms entitlement to a pair. Military Medal – London Gazette 13th February 1917. (Ypres) A note with the research states: “In 1916 he went into no mans land to rescue a wounded soldier in daylight and under enemy fire, ran 50m from the forward trench and brought the soldier back. It also states he was gassed in 1917” He lived in Surrey moving to Portchester, Hampshire in 1936 for the “Air” due to illness from being gassed. With a photo of Edward, with his wife Winifred and son Frank Lewis Geary. Walter Geary His MIC confirms his entitlement to a pair, his pension card shows service in both the Hampshire and Gloucestershire regiment. and gives his address in Marty Road, Guildford. With a photo of Walter Frank Lewis Geary T.E.M awarded in 1944. With photo of Frank with his wife Edith and their daughter Sheila. Condition – Generally GVF and better.
